A Symposium on the Servant of God RFC Mascarenhas was held on the 26th of August 2015 at Loyola Composite College Auditorium by the Sisters and the members of the staff of Loyola Group of Schools, Gadenahally and St Mary`s Group of Schools, Arsikere. The programme began with the installation of the statue of our founder at Karunamatha Holistic Health Centre Gadenahally. Provincial Superior Sr Lilitta BS inaugurated the statue of our founder and Rev. Fr. Balraj our parish priest blessed the statue and prayed for the well being of the patients who would enter the portals of this centre. Sr Jeevan the secretary of BES, Fr. Shanthraj A., Dean of Chikmangalore, Mr Thomas a benefactor and the president of Christian Association Hassan and the Loyola Group of Schools Gadenahally, and also the parents of our students from different villages were present. It was our Founder`s deepest desire to work among the rural poor through this Health Centre; and now we feel his holy presence all the more as his statue is installed at the heart of the Karunamatha Holistic Health Centre. After the installation the whole-group along with the guests were led to the symposium venue in procession with the Purna Kumba and a beautifully decorated bullock cart along with students dressed as our founder and pioneer sisters. It reminded us the joy of people receiving Fr Founder when he arrived for the first time in 1950 to this place riding the bullock cart, the only means of transport then. All shared the joy of the day through a sumptuous meal after the symposium. Thus thanking God and Mary, Mother Of Mercy we dispersed to be channels of His love and compassion.
